Public Hearings

Public hearings for the West-wide Energy Corridor Draft Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement (PEIS) were held in January and February 2008.

The U.S. Department of Energy, the U.S. Department of Interior Bureau of Land Management, the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service, and the U.S. Department of Defense (the Agencies) held public hearings to obtain comments on the draft PEIS in eleven western states in January and February 2008. Dates and locations for public hearings are listed below.

Public Hearing Locations and Dates

NOTE: With the exception of Window Rock AZ, Elko NV, and Washington DC, there were two hearings on the same day at each location listed below. The first hearing was held from 2-5 PM, and the second hearing was held from 6-8 PM. There was one hearing in Window Rock (Jan. 23, 2008), from 2-5 PM, one hearing in Elko (Feb. 5, 2008), from 6-8 PM and one hearing in Washington DC (Feb. 5, 2008), from 2-4 PM.
